Laura’s House Resale Store sells designer and brand name clothing for men, women and children as well as jewelry, handbags, shoes, artwork, home furnishings and decor at 65-90% below original retail. All proceeds from their stores support their programs which help families affected by domestic violence.
Better priced than a thrift store, Laura’s House Resale is well organized, clean and staffed with happy cheerful people. My planned 40 minute visit turned into 2 hours with steals and deals on every rack and corner and fun chitchat with staff and customers.
Everything here is donated. You’ll find new and used items, with several racks of New with Tags.
There I spotted an Ann Taylor Blouse for $14, a Trouve dress for $6, a Neve hand painted top for $14 and a Forever 21 blouse for $6 instead of $19.
On other racks I found a Madewell dress for $14, a BCBG Max Azria knit dress for $9, a Wayf lace dress for $14, a Faconnable blazer for $14 and a Joie silk peasant blouse for $9 instead of $138.
Some unbelievable buys were on the $4 and $6 mens & women’s racks. I spotted labels like CK, Joes Jeans, Rip Curl, DKNY, Banana Republic, adiddas, Jones New York, BCBG, Lands End, Alfani, Nasty gal, Inc, Three Dot, Lily Pulitzer and more in tops, bottoms, dresses, blazers, jacket, suits and more. On these racks are a few higher priced items like a men’s Pelle Studio Leather jacket for $34… a good 80% below original retail.
Shoes were plentiful and priced between $6-$38 with names like Nina, Vince Camuto, Michael Kors, Rebecca Taylor, Bruno Magli, Cole Haan, Jessica Simpson and others. Original retail values were $60-$350.
Housewares were fun, plentiful and nicely displayed! Standouts include a 6” modern crystal vase at just $6. A glass ice bucket was $9. A gorgeous set (43 pcs) of Noritake Royal Pink China at $129.
Home furnishings deals had a 3 drawer pine chest in mint condition at $125. A ceramic, cut out glazed table lamp was $10 instead of $168. A blue fur pillow was $9 instead of $130. A 3 1/2’ x 2 1/2’ black framed, beveled glass wall mirror was $28 instead of $280.
Handbags were also plentiful, with the choice designer pieces being behind the counter. A Coach Katy Satchel was only $59. Retail is $350. And a Reed leather Satchel was $42 instead of $200.
The turnover here is super fast cause the prices are super low.
