Harmony Farms is a local butcher shop that saves you up to 30% savings on an incredible selection of quality meat.
This family owned, old school butcher specializes in hard to find exotic meats, grass fed beef, lamb, pork, organic poultry, game meats, sausages and Wagu style beef.
Initially, I shopped Harmony Farms for cat food. I was tired of constantly trying new brands and paying $1.75 – 2.69 for a 4-6 oz can what I thought was good quality cat food. But really isn’t. A pound of ground chicken is $4.99 a lb and serves up 4-6 portions. So I was saving up to 30% on higher quality food for my kitties!
Since we are meat eaters, I started comparing the quality and cuts to major chain markets and discovered their everyday prices were in-line with advertised “Sale” prices…. but Harmony Farms offers higher quality, grass fed, with no antibiotics, no nitrates… ever! Good to know… if you’re as tired as we are of reading every label in the grocery aisle to make sure what you’re eating isn’t garbage.
Not only that, they have the largest selection of all natural, minimally processed game meats in the country. They have wild turkey, beef, lamb, pork, buffalo, boar, geese, quail, ostrich, pheasant, duck, goat, elk, venison and even alligator.
There’s a price list when you go in. Prices stay pretty consistent too.
Here are some things, I’ve picked up and enjoyed.
Porterhouse steak is $23.99 a lb.
Beef Flank steak is $12.99 a lb.
Whole body frying chicken is $3.89 a lb.
Boneless chicken breast are $7.49 a lb.
Organic chicken breasts $8.89 a lb.
Large pork chops $7.29 a lb.
Tri-tip roast $14.59 a lb.
Ground Beef was $10.99 a lb.
Most of these prices are generally higher than Trader Joes, higher than Vons, lower than Whole Foods, on par or lower than Ralphs, but the quality is higher!
You’ll find other yummy tidbits there like locally baked Sourdough loafs at $10.99…. so so good, but really not a bargain. Same price as our local Farmers Market.
If you’re a hunter, they also will butcher the game and store it. An unusual service.
This old school butcher shop is for those of us who value quality meat at a fair price. Harmony Farms sells to health food stores, markets and restaurants as well as making home deliveries as far away as Orange County.
