Common Sense Media is an online Kids Media Content Guide that helps guide parents to know what is in the movies, shows, apps, games, books and more that are kids are seeing.
I am always looking for straight forward film and TV reviews. This often meant lengthy web searches and hard research to figure out what exactly was in a film, TV show, book or video games.
As a parent, I never bought into the line… “ all my friends have seen it.” Or the “over reactive”, zealot parent review. I like to rely on my own judgment.
Thankfully, now I don’t have to work as hard to gain insight anymore with Common Sense Media.
Here you’ll get straightforward content reviews of movies, books, games, apps and even distance learning and more, so you can make an educated decision on what your kids can see. You’ll also find education tips, what other parents and kids are saying and suggested talking points on topics that are controversial.

By now, my 16-year old can see just about everything. But there are still some topics and situations shown in entertainment that I want her to avoid. It’s my call.
