It's a Wrap

June 14, 2025

It’s a Wrap is sells mens & women’s new, used designer and vintage clothing, shoes and accessories from studio wardrobe departments for film, streaming and T.V. shows at 25- 75% below original retail. Perfect for style mavens, celebrity aficionados and out of town visitors, this fun spot always has new inventory.

This 2-story shop has been around since the 1980’s and is a staple for Burbank shoppers. Both levels have both men’s and women’s clothing. But upstairs is where you find the higher end, couture pieces. Every item here has a tag that corresponds with a TV Show, or movie. The codes are listed on a sign at the front door, so you’ll know where the clothing came from.

Though items are priced a bit higher than most resale shops, here it’s all about studio wardrobe. That’s what makes it fun! I spotted both vintage items and fashion from 2023 here. Both high-end designer names like Versace to basic labels like Zara.

While I was there, they were having a Spring Sale with additional discounts of 50-75% off on many items inshore and the plentiful racks outside.

There is a lot to discover here!  Reselling film and television clothing brings a huge selection including costuming, props and vintage. Though fun to look through, I found many 70’-90’s vintage / brand items overpriced here. That said…. Here I’d shop for the unique upscale designers labels. Prices quoted are before any additional discounts.

Great finds included an Emilo Pucci teal dress suit was $1000. I found it elsewhere for $2200.
An Elie Tahari silk chiffon blouse was $75 instead of $290.  A Lida Baday 2 pc skirt suit was $400 instead of the original $1400. (I did find it on Postmark for $200). An Equipment LS silk blouse was $80 instead of $240. An unique, one of a kind Show Me Your Mumu pink / fur dress embellished with a rhinestone collar was $250. Retail would be $450+. A Derek Lam black shirt dress was $125 instead of $250. A Ted Baker cap sleeve cocktail dress was $200 instead of $500-600. A Tory Burch embellish tunic was $90 instead of $180 and a Bailey 44 boucle short jacket was $200 instead of $600.

Men have lots of choices with suits, jeans, shirts and more here.
A Reiss dress coat was $250 instead of $500. Some NWT Calvin Klein dress pants were $65 instead of $125. Rock N Republic jeans were $88 instead of $260. Classic Ralph Lauren Button Down dress shirts were $50 instead of $100. A Banana Republic car coat was $100 instead of $200. An Elie Tahari velvet wide lapel dinner jacket was $100 instead of $400.

You will find plenty of cute tees, too and jeans here, all reasonably priced. But the best deals  were in the upscale designer. I didn’t see a huge collection of handbags, but shoes were displayed on every rounder. Stylish treasures are found here on every rack.

Whether your a serious shopper or just in it for the entertainment value,  It’s a Wrap offers a fun day of bargain hunting Studio Wardrobe.
