Affordable Summer Camps

April 28, 2017

If you’re like me, come April/ May I used to freak out about what my kid was gonna do over the Summer. Since she always got good grades, I didn’t want to saddle her with Summer School too. But then Summer camps tend to be expensive. There is always the local YMCA, which was a good fall back. But here are some other good affordable camps that have come across my radar with interesting sports, classes, science and art.

Hollywood Land Camp for Girls
A good sleep away camp that doesn’t blow the budget is Hollywood Land Camp for girls 6-17. Run by the Los Angeles Department of Recreation and Parks and nestled up in the Hollywood Hills, your daughter will get the feeling of being far away, but isn’t. They load their days with activities including swimming, crafts, challenge games, campfire, climbing wall, field trips, themed parties and more. Weekly rates run from $375-$450.
