Feeling Opimistic

By Suzanne O'Connor

I’m sure many of you have been struggling with not knowing what happens next.

Besides much of the obvious concerns, I myself have been pondering if things will ever be normal again? Of course they will.

This last week I got some positive sniffs of normalcy with a few stores and businesses reopening, adapting and thriving.

-Asian Ceramics was able to keep their wholesale division alive and thriving through this crisis. Now the public can shop there too.
The place is so big, respectful social distancing is a breeze.

-Hotel Surplus is discounting furniture even more and selling though Facebook and email with curbside pick up.

-Hollywood Piano was allowed to re-open, just in time for a Parking Lot Sale. Lots of space there for respectful social distancing while shopping.

-The Outlet By ELS has been open for the entire duration of quarantine. They’ve nailed how to operate and thrive in a health crisis.

-Armani Wells Men’s Resale has continued to sell men’s designer clothes at 60-90% off by appointment only.

-Happy Eyes Optical has been open by appointment filling prescriptions and selling discounted frames.

-Waystock Warehouse just opened to the public selling patio furniture at wholesale to the public.

-TR Trading has been selling desks, files, chairs at discounted prices.

- Appliance Outlet has been selling high end appliances at a discount via email and appointments.

- Dozens of Designer and Manufacturer Warehouse and Sample Sales have moved online or opened online outlets.

Some Manufacturers and Liquidators are back in their warehouses conducting wholesale business but haven’t started warehouse or sample sales yet.
But others are still struggling to figure out how to meet CDC guidelines.

The good news is normalcy is slowly coming back.

Of course, (LOL) in the midst of this crisis, we launched the new BargainsLA site!

And then BargainsLA was chosen as one of the Top 50 blogs in Southern California on Feedspot.com

How cool is that!

So I’m feeling more positive and optimistic.
