Discount Wine

The Man (webdude) and I really enjoy a good glass of wine with dinner or friends. We recently have hit several local wine tasting and have visited with friends who have turned us on to some rather tasty wines.

Good wine is not near as expensive as it used to be. Still dropping our hard earned money on wine that we sometimes don’t like is also distasteful. We had been using Trader Joes and Ralph’s to buy discounted wines with good ratings. But there are better choices to save on highly rated wine.

Whenever I am in the area I pop into The Los Angeles Wine Company. Around since the early 1980’s The Los Angeles Wine Company has a vast selection of wines. Over 300 from all parts of the world including Israel, Germany, Spain, Portugal, Italy, California, Australia and more. Savings here average 10%-60%.

My mom, Geri Cook , LA’s original Bargain Diva, reviewed their warehouse in 1982 and loved it back then. They continually work at providing the public with the finest, highest quality wines at the very lowest possible prices.

“EVERY wine in our stock is EXPERTLY selected for the best cost to quality ratio and ALWAYS SALE PRICED.”

I’ll buy that.

Several buys really stood out. Cosentino 2005 Merlot was $9.95. Elsewhere this sells for $14-$20. A super bargain price of $5.99 on spotted on a 2006 Oakley Five Red blend. A 2006 Columbia Crest Chardonnay was just $7.99. A Ravenwood 2006 Zinfandel was $25 instead of $30 and a Dry Creek Vineyards Sonoma Sauvignon Blanc was $8.99, a good 45% savings.
