A true bargain find, Urbanism offers
good quality, stylish home furnishings at 20%-50% off of boutique
furniture stores like Crate & Barrel and Restoration hardware.
Savvy owner Stephanie Lamons can sell these hi quality pieces by
working directly with manufacturers, keeping a low working overhead,
buying in volume and only being open limited hours.
Urbanism’s charming warehouse is packed with deals on quality
home furnishings. You’ll find everything from modern, eclectic,
traditional and transitional pieces to exotic imports all housed
under one roof and all at prices that are deliciously low. Small
home décor items can be bought right off the floor but upholstered
and hard case goods are custom ordered.
Their prices are delightful. A gigantic china hutch that’s
similar to one that retails for $2200 is $729 here. A sleek modern
red sofa was just $699 instead of $1000. A more plush, overstuff
sofa with nail head detail was a jaw dropping floor sample at $399.
Some leather seated bar stools were well priced at $119 instead
of $189-$250. A large black, distressed coffee table was well priced
at $389. A taller bistro styled square dining table was just $349.
Matching chairs were $157 each. An antique repro sideboard buffet
was well priced at $999. Similar goods are priced elsewhere between
$1700-$1900.
I was totally blown away with a plush micro suede chaise sectional
at $1699. Retail on this would run $2300. A floral slip-covered
upholstered side chair at $499 instead of $750 and a sweet white
country twin bed at $499 instead of $800.
There are unusual home accessories from artwork to table top items
all well priced. Orange County shoppers should put Urbanism on the
top of their shopping list when they are in the market for home
furnishings. Here you can decorate your entire home for the price
you’d normally pay just for one room. Works for me!
