| In the
heart of Westwood Village lies a rare find, Shane’s Jewelers.
Open since 1970, Shane’s specializing in platinum, 18k and
14k gold and is famous for the “made on the premises”
custom design engagement rings in platinum 18k at prices that are
25%- 50% below retail. Talk about no middleman. If they're not making
these great pieces they’re buying them direct from Italy.
You won’t get heavy sales ploy’s
here just straight info on some truly beautiful pieces. From classics
to contemporary, you’ll find it here in bracelets, pins, charms,
earrings, necklaces and wedding sets. Diamonds, semi precious including
peridot, pearls, amethyst, topaz, garnet, emeralds, ruby and the
new colored diamonds!
Stan carries a tremendous inventory of
loose diamonds including an incredible range in all shapes, sizes
and many fancy-shaped diamonds that are difficult to find in most
jewelry stores often at wholesale prices certified at GH, SI or
better.
The collection of white gold, platinum
sets many in classic and Victorian settings are perfect for all
of us romantics. A stunning 18k white gold ring had a rectangular
“radiant” cut 1 ct. diamond. This “ideal cut”
diamond was GIA certified at an EVS2. Retails runs $8,000-$10,000
and it’s better here at $6500. An Eternity Band dazzler was
a 2.90 total carat weight with FVS2 diamonds all the way around.
It was $3200 instead of upwards of $5,000. A very popular style
is a leafy floral eternity band was priced at $1400 instead of $2200-$2500.
A really neat look is the floating diamonds ring. It looks literally
as if the diamonds are floating. The band is near invisible in 18Kt
it ran $1450.
A 16” necklace in smoky topaz drops
and pearls caught my eye at $120. Except to pay upwards of $330
normally. Some drop pearl earrings in white 14kt were $275. Retail
is around $400. A one-carat diamond studs were $2400. No doubt
about these quality pieces. One particular chain necklace was so
innovative… large delicate gold links hand made by a local
artisan. At 16 “ in 18K it was only $180. Apparently these
gorgeous feminine pieces can also be found at a local upscale “designer
type” department store at twice the price. I’d rather
pay less at Shane’s Jewelry.
Stan can help you copy an antique heirloom
or design a piece from a picture in a magazine and manufacturer
it for you on the premises for a lot less. Quality workmanship,
design, good prices, high standards and knowledgeable help make
Shane’s Jewelry a best bargain.
