The art and fun of bargain hunting is at it’s best at Just Like The Model in Fountain Valley… a huge warehouse of home furnishing at 30% -70% below retail. Super deals on sofas, dining sets, chairs, lamps, armoires, accent tables, dressers, bedding, art and decorative items. Just Like The Model sells new and used furniture from the model homes in New Housing Communities in Southern California and Nevada directly to the public.

Some real eye poppers are in the larger items. A very hip shabby chic, antique octagonal table was only $175… this table would be an easy $450 on Montana Ave. An amazing, entry hall table ornately carved was $600. This fabulous piece would go for $1400-$1600 new. A 6 ½ ‘ Spanish styled armoire was $595 instead of a retail of $1400.  A large rectangular beveled glass mirror in a gold gilded frame was also well priced at $175. A designer showroom might sell this for $350-$450. A modern taupe green sofa in perfect condition was $350 instead of a retail of 1000-$1300.

Some pieces have survived a bit of extra wear … a stylish 7' sofa whose back cushions sustained fading from the sun was priced at a mere $275. Recovering the cushions may cost $300, but you still have a steal of a deal.  I snatched up a velvet accent pillow for $10. It needed 4 stitches to seal a seam. You can often find complete living, dining and bedroom ensembles already put together making decorating easy and affordable.

With deals like these, creative housewives, professionals and designers all frequent the warehouse scooping up the deals. New arrivals come in weekly and the line to get in starts at 9:45am.
