Bargain hunting doesn’t get any better than at the FIDM Scholarship store. Here you’ll find a constantly changing array of special occasion and bridal apparel at 50%-98% off retail. Yes, it's true! FIDM receives apparel donations from major department stores, boutiques, manufactures and wholesalers to support the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising Scholarship Foundation. These donated gowns are new, first quality samples, remainders as well as slightly damaged all at substantial savings that are below wholesale.

Prices range from $50 to $100 for gowns with original price tags of $750-$3300. Some with trains, beaded bodices, silk, lace, long sleeve, capped and spaghetti straps. You'll also find some deals on shoes and accessories. Selection varies and turns over quickly at these jaw dropping prices. Sizes range from 4-14 with a smattering in every size.

Next door is the regular store also with the same jaw dropping prices on men's and women's designer sportswear. With a vast selection, you can find deals on everything from sportswear to bathing suits to fabrics and notions. You’ll see designer, skirts, blouses, and dresses often in odd lots or samples with names like Tadashi, Passport, Karen Kane, Guess, Georgio BH, St. Germain, Flax, XOXO, Match and Leslie Fay. Since merchandise is donated you never know what you’ll come across. Sizes run from 2p to 3x and everything in between.  Not to be missed is the blowout room next door with everything marked at $5.00 or less. Mostly seconds and damaged goods here but a good eye can score a great deal.

Conducted as a lab to help students who attend FIDM, the Scholarship Store raises funds as well as giving students retail and managerial skills.  With all proceeds going directly towards scholarships, a purchase here is good for the spirit as well as the bargain hunter’s bottom line.
